Fox Chapel Organic Farm Estate

This design build project started in 2013 is transforming fallow farm land in Fox Chapel into a productive family farm and estate. Designed by Eisler Landscapes team member, Jennifer Deemer, MLA, ASLA, the estate's master plan includes restoration of the existing pond, a large orchard, vegetable gardens, greenhouse, root cellar, herb gardens, clover lawns, and wild flower fields.

In addition to the productive areas of the estate, plans include rehabilitation of the historic tavern and transformation of the surrounding grounds in to beautiful and functional event space. At the house a grass paved

motor court, framed with dogwoods, low stone walls and surrounded by boxwood welcomes guests with southern charm.

A hidden gem, the sunken garden was designed with a soft contemporary planting style. The corten steel fountain empties into a concrete trough. Terminating the view is a specimen magnolia. Sustainable site features include, native plantings, permeable paving, and rainwater recycling. Custom details including the fountain, copper edged raised beds, and sculptural rebar arbors. This project is under construction.
