UPMC Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers

Designed by Pashek Associates, Ltd., and built by Eisler Landscapes and Landau Building Company, the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers 4th Floor Terrace Garden received a Silver Award for Acute Care in the 2013 Landscape Architecture Awards for Healthcare Environments. The roof is located six stories above Center Avenue in a very congested urban environment, an additional challenge for the installation crew.

The project included over 1500 sf of green roof, 1420 sf of bluestone patio paving, and a variety of shrubs, perennials, sedums and grasses.
